Glibc 2 HOWTO English Version - 8. Report bugs
If you think this library is wrong, please read the FAQ, may have been experiencing this issue, and also already have a simple solution. In addition, you should see INSTALL file in the “Recommended Tools to Install the GNU C Library” section, because some of the error is not the glibc but in these tools.
Suppose you find a bug, please make sure it is indeed a bug. A good way to judge is to look at whether the conduct of glibc C library and the other the same. If the same, then maybe you are wrong, and libraries are correct. (But not necessarily the case), if not identical, then surely the two as a wrong.
Then, go to http://www-gnats.gnu.org:8080/cgi-bin/wwwgnats.pl, and view the bug database to determine this issue has not yet been raised. You should also look at BUGS (within the pay in the libc in) set out the bug has been found.
Once you're sure to find a new bug, try it down to the smallest test case. The C library is concerned, you only need to it down to a single function call (if available). This should not be too difficult.
The final step is to make your test case bug report. To submit bug reports, please include your test case, you get the results you expected results, the possible reasons you think that (if you ever thought of for any reason), your system type, you use The GNU C library, GNU CC compiler, GNU binutils version. Also, please attach the Executive arising config.status configure and config.make, these two files when you configure the directory implementation.
All bug reports should use the GNU libc glibcbug attached shell script sent to bugs@gnu.org (the old address bugs@gnu.ai.mit.edu still use). Or to a GNATS site using http://www-gnats.gnu.org:8080/cgi-bin/wwwgnats.pl do this interface.
Your suggestions and questions should be sent to this mailing list bugs-glibc@prep.ai.mit.edu. If you do not read newsgroups gnu.bug.glibc, then you can ask bug-glibc-request@prep.ai.mit.edu join the list.
Please do not use GNU C library bug reports sent to, which is set up to GNU CC, but GNU CC and GNU C library is maintained by different people.
